When considering hiring a professional development coach, there are some questions you should ask before coming to a decision. These questions might include;

References: Can the coach provide relevant sources of reference?

Self-awareness: Why is the coach coaching?

Style and chemistry: Does the coach inspire trust, motivation or positive energy in the client?

Supervision: Does the coach work within a supervisory framework?

Training: Has the coach undergone formal, independently accredited training or qualified in the use of psychometric tests?
